What we store, and what we do not.
Written to be read. If anything here is unclear, that is a problem with the writing — tell us and we will fix it.
The short version
RingsideReady Boxing works without an account. If you never sign in, your checklist progress, saved gyms, favorites, session notes, and timer settings stay on your device and are never sent to us.
Signing in exists so that data can follow you between devices. That is the only reason it exists.
We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, and we do not use your session notes to market to you.
What stays on your device
Checklist progress, favorites, saved gyms and their notes, session log entries, timer presets, your chosen tabs, and your profile answers (mode, stance, experience, goal).
This is held in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data removes it, and so does using a private window. We cannot recover it for you, because we never had it.
What we store when you sign in
Your email address and an authentication record, so you can sign back in. If you use Google or Apple sign-in, we receive the account identifier and email they pass us, not your password.
Whatever you choose to sync: checklist progress, favorites, saved gyms, and session notes.
A subscription record if you buy a plan — which plan, its status, and its renewal date.
What third parties see
Payments. Card details are entered on the payment provider's own hosted checkout and never touch RingsideReady. We receive a confirmation and a subscription status, not your card number.
Gym search. When you search for gyms, your approximate coordinates and a radius are sent to our server, which queries OpenStreetMap. We do not store your location afterwards.
Ask the Coach and Your Corner. Your question text is sent to an AI provider to generate an answer. We apply a rate limit keyed to a salted, hashed form of your network address — we do not keep a readable log of who asked what.
Fonts. Typefaces are served by Google Fonts, which sees the request as part of loading the page.
What we deliberately do not collect
No advertising identifiers, no cross-site tracking pixels, and no behavioural profile.
No health data. RingsideReady does not ask for injuries, medical history, weight, or anything a clinician would record — and you should not put that information into it.
No precise location history. A gym search uses your position once, for that search.
How long we keep things
Account data is kept while your account exists. Delete the account and it goes, along with the records attached to it.
Payment and subscription records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting, because we are not permitted to delete those on request.
On-device data lasts exactly as long as you keep it. Nothing expires behind your back.
Your choices
Use it signed out. Everything in the Learn library, the timer, the checklist and the session log works with no account at all.
Delete your account. Settings → Account → Delete account. This removes your account and the data attached to it.
Ask for a copy. Write to us and we will send you what we hold.
Depending on where you live you may also have rights to correct, restrict, or object to processing. Ask and we will honour them.
Children
RingsideReady is written for ages 13 and up, and younger boxers should use it with an adult. We do not knowingly create accounts for under-13s. If you believe a child has an account, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what we collect or who sees it, we will say so in the app rather than quietly editing this page.
