summary

Turning on the ball of the lead foot to swing the back foot round, changing the angle without stepping.

steps

  • Put your weight over your lead foot and lift the back heel.
  • Turn on the ball of the lead foot and let the back foot swing round behind you.
  • Stop when you have turned about forty-five degrees. Your stance should be intact, just facing somewhere new.
  • Practice pivoting both ways. Most people have a strong side and never use the other.
