Holding mitts for someone
Take this slowly, stay balanced, and ask your coach when something feels unclear.
what to do
- • Ask them what they want to work on.
- • Hold the mitts still and at their height, not yours.
- • Call the combination clearly before they throw it.
what not to do
- • Do not swing the mitts to meet the punch.
- • Do not hold for someone if you have not been shown how.
why it matters
Badly held mitts can hurt both people's wrists. If you have not been taught, say so.
quick rule
Still targets, clear calls, and say if you have not been shown.
